Helsinki Week is here again!
Helsinki Week will extend over the period of 4–19 June 2011, and Helsinki Day is 12 June as usual.
Helsinki Week, which has grown round Helsinki Day, offers the citizens experiences and activities for every taste. As in previous years, you will be able to see, hear and taste this year’s diverse programme all over Helsinki, from the centre of the city to the more distant parts.
The old familiar festivals Pihlajamäki goes Blues, the Guards Band Festival, Helsinki Samba Carnaval and Les Lumières – Enlightenment Era Cultural Festival will give a colourful touch to Helsinki Week this year as well.
A newcomer to Helsinki Week is the Nordic Juggling Convention, the biggest and longest-existing juggling and circus event in the Nordic countries. This yearly international juggling convention brings together hobby and professional jugglers from all over the world.
As for Helsinki Day, the programme is a horn of plenty covering the whole city.
