Guard's Band Festival

3-6 June: Suomenlinna

Finland’s oldest professional orchestra presents the nation’s military culture with figurative marches and a surprising concert series at the historic Suomenlinna Maritime Fortress.

Some examples of the program:

6 June at 1:30pm: Admiral’s Tattoo figurative march performance at the Parade Square next to the church (weather permitting). Over 150 performers in splendid uniforms present an impres-sive figurative march.

6 June at 2pm: Picnic concert in the Church Park, featuring the Guard’s Band with two soloists: Johanna Försti and Sami Pitkämö.
